A Family Tradition of Serving Others

As a teenager, Dr. Priestley spent his summers working as a lifeguard on Long Island. His father worked for the New York City police department for 45 years, and his younger sister is also a police officer. The other two sisters in his family and his mother are registered nurses. Dr. Priestley realized early of that he wanted to help people, and decided to major in premed.

Everything changed when a friend invited him to a lecture presented by a chiropractor. The information given was so simple but made perfect sense to Dr. Priestley. ‘’How can someone get healthy by taking drugs? The idea that you could restore people’s health without medicine by adjusting their spine was a revelation to me.” It was that evening he decided to become a chiropractor, and he continues to be thankful to the friend who took him to that lecture.

Dr. Brian Yocum, D.C.

Chiropractor

Dr. Yocum is a true California native. Born in Newport Beach, his family moved to Dana Point when he was four years old. His love of the coastal lifestyle explains why he continues to call Dana Point his home today.

Dr. Yocum studied Kinesiology at the University of Colorado in Boulder. He was in the top 5% of his class and graduated with honors, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree. After four years studying the structure and function of the human body, chiropractic was a natural choice for his advanced degree.

Audrey Lee

Office Manager

Audrey is the office manager, where she interacts with patients to get them ready for their care and helps to keep the office functioning smoothly. Audrey has been with the office since the Summer of 2018 after she moved back to the area from Northern California. She has a passion for holistic health which she incorporates into her active lifestyle. She is currently going to school to obtain a Healthcare Admin degree in order to learn how to help the office more efficiently. Audrey is passionate about healing and allowing the body to function the way it is meant to.

Lisa Truelove

Accounting Manager

Lisa Truelove joined Priestley Family Chiropractic in 2008 as our Accounting Manager. She brings with her 25 years of Administrative and Accounting experience. Working alongside Dr. Priestley for 12 years, handling Finance and Back office operations. She has helped the overall flow of the practice to focus on the care of its members. As a proud Grandma of five grandchildren, she enjoys spending all of her free time with them. Lisa and her family live a chiropractic lifestyle and are passionate about health and wellness.
